Sander Tangvik
Sander Tangvik is a towering 1.93 m Trondheim-born goalkeeper who came up through Byåsen and Rosenborg, making 69 Eliteserien appearances over five seasons before a January 2026 winter move to Bundesliga side Hamburger SV on a deal worth up to roughly 46 million kroner (around 4 million euros with bonuses). He is the uncapped backup keeper in Norway's 2026 World Cup squad - the only one of the 26 players with zero senior caps - having first been called up in November 2025 and sitting on the bench as Norway sealed qualification. His leaving VG interview was emotional ("It was hard to say goodbye to everyone here today. I had to fight to hold back some tears"), and his HSV debut against Bayer Leverkusen on the final day of 2025-26 was a dream one: a 1-1 draw in which he saved a Patrik Schick penalty.
