Nicolas Jackson
Senegal's first-choice centre-forward, Jackson led the line vs France wearing No. 11 — a frustrating night in which he hit the post in the 25th minute and had a goal disallowed for offside. Born to a Gambian father and Senegalese mother, he rose through Casa Sports and Villarreal before a 2023 move to Chelsea, where he scored 24 Premier League goals and won the 2024–25 Conference League and 2025 Club World Cup. In September 2025 he joined Bayern Munich on loan, helping them to the Bundesliga title; the deal carried a conditional obligation-to-buy (~€65m) tied to appearances that limited minutes made impossible to trigger, so he is expected to return to Chelsea. For Senegal he featured at the 2022 World Cup and 2023 and 2025 AFCONs. Quick, powerful and direct, he gives Thiaw's side a physical spearhead, though his finishing remains a work in progress — as the France match underlined.
