Marcus Holmgren Pedersen
Marcus Holmgren Pedersen is a 25-year-old right-back for Torino in Serie A and a squad player for Norway at the 2026 World Cup, providing depth and versatility at full-back (he can also fill in at left-back and right midfield). Born in Hammerfest in the far north, he came through Tromsø IL and Molde before a 2021 move to Feyenoord, from where loans to Sassuolo and Torino led to a permanent transfer to the Turin club in 2025. Norwegian press celebrate him as "VM-troppens eneste finnmarking" — the only Finnmark native in the World Cup squad — and he is famously the first player from Hammerfest ever to appear in Norway's top division. He won 32 senior caps for Norway through their qualification campaign as they reached a first World Cup since 1998.
